I watched Spectre

Awalnya nggak terlalu interest untuk buru-buru nonton pas masih baru banget keluar. Tapi, tapi, tapi jiwa ini teracuni. Dan jeng jeeeeeng, jadilah girls-day-out-tak-terencana Sabtu kemarin tanggal 7. Mumpung sampe ke Bandung masih siang, jadinya teracuni pikiran dari cewek-cewek yang tetiba pengen nonton. Jadilah Sabtu sore habis di bioskop. (Psst.. We tried new blitzmegaplex in BEC Bandung, and its quite good to try. Comfort dan nggak se-crowded blitz PVJ).

All I knew from James Bond's movie is an action movie, full of technology, action scene, conspiration, and Bond's Girl. And I think this movie quite same with those criteria. (grin)
When the movie started, an unusual opening happened. A full of theme song 'Writing's on the wall' played with Craig Daniel and some effect as video clip. And there's also Sam Smith, the singer of the theme song.

The movie begin with Bond and his secret unfinished mission. Why it called secret? He didn't involved his team. Only he who knew what his mission. An unfinished mission, a legacy from his ex boss (If I'm not wrong she called as M).

When its time for a spy movie full of conspiration, you can see many places. (still could not understand how they can jump from one country to others).
First start in Mexico. He failed a bombing plan of a stadium which held a festival that attended by many people. On his action, he found a ring of a brotherhood with Octopus sign.
He back home, then he found another legacy from M, a video that told him to attend Marco Sciarra funeral ceremony at Rome. Bond come to Rome, attend the funeral ceremony and meet with Sciarra's widow, Lucia. From Lucia, Bond knowing about Spectre, an international criminal organization, which his husband belong to. Bond enters a Spectre meeting by showing the ring with Octopus sign. At the meeting he found out the leader of Spectre is Franz Oberhauser, a man that believed already dead. Bond's discovered attend the meeting illegally. He escaped from Mr. Hinx chased (Spectre's assassin).
Moneypenny found out about the Pale King, she informs Bond and lead him to Mr. White, the former member of Quantum, which still related to Spectre. He meets Mr. White. Mr. White admits that He was member of Quantum, he asks Bond to find her daughter Madeleine Swann. He told Bond that Madeleine will lead him to L'Americain which will lead him to Spectre. He also ask him to protect her daughter.

Bond meet Madeleine Swann, he told the story of his father asked him to meet her to found L'Americain. But Madeleine refused to help. She expelled Bond. While Bond thinking how to convince her, Madeleine is already abducted by Mr. Hinx. But then Bond success to save her, and she agree to help him found L'Americain.

Bond though L'Americain was a person, he wrongs. L'Americain is a small hotel in Morocco. There is a room in this hotel that Mr. White and his wife spend every wedding anniversary.. They found a secret room built by Mr. White, his working room. Bond found a coordinate of a crater, a location of Spectre.

They travel to the nearest point to this Spectre location by train. They arrived and welcomed by Franz Oberhauser. At this moment, revealed that Franz Oberhauser is a son of Bond's guardian father. Young Bond's be an orphan and taken care by Oberhauser. Franz turn envy with his 'new little brother', he killed his own father and making a fake scenario that he also killed at a landslide tragedy. He keeps his hatred to Bond, and try to make Bond's suffer in every moment. He tortured Bond, but fortunately Bond and Madeleine can escape from this area. Bond alse blow up Spectre area.

Bond and Madeleine back to London. Bond try to help M (his new boss) regarding shutdown issue of '00 programe' by the new ministry and try to stop launching of Nine Eye program which related to Spectre. Madeleine says goodbye, she can't handle to have a life with a secret agent.
M with helped by Q (the technologist of '00 program') succeed stop the launch of new program. While Bond try to save Madeleine, she abducted by Franz. She was kept in an empty building which will be blown up in several minutes. But again, Bond success escape with Madeleine before the building blown up. He chase Franz, and success arrest him. At the end, the story tell that Bond retired. End of the story like in a fairy tale, 'and they lived happily ever after'.

I think this Bond movie is a bit full of drama than the action itself. And as long as I remember, this is the first film keep Bond's girl alive!
Whole of story is fun and entertaining. Not that dull for a movie for 2,5 hours long.
Happy watching! But worth to be watched!

The Amazing Spiderman 2

So hot right now, film sekuel The Amazing Spiderman 2 bener-bener menyita perhatian banyak orang. Hal ini juga bikin banyak bioskop rela menyisihkan banyak studio untuk film ini. Euforia-nya masih kenceng banget, dimana kursi bioskop penuh sama orang-orang yang mau nonton aksinya Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. Story nya masih tetep sama, Peter Parker seorang remaja yang accidentally digigit sama laba-laba dan berubah jadi Spiderman melawan kejahatan.

Untuk The Amazing Spiderman yang pertama, menurut aku kurang ngena, mungkin karena masih terbayang-bayang sekuel Spiderman yang dimainin sama Tobey Maguire. Amazing Spiderman rasanya ceritanya kurang fokus, kayak nggak ada benang merah di setiap ceritanya. Terus buat aku terlalu banyak efek and detail yang sebenernya nggak perlu malah jadi kesannya nambah-nambahin cerita. Whole story-nya jadi kurang kena, sayang banget. Action scene-nya juga kurang banyak.

Untuk Amazing Spiderman 2 ini agak mendingan. But still, masih banyak yang disayangin. Story line nya kurang gimanaaaaaaa gituuuu. Andrew Garfield udah mulai berhasil menghadirkan image baru di Peter Parker, mulai menghapus image Peter Parker-nya Tobey Maguire. Nah yang sayang itu pemilihan pemeran Harry. Tokoh yang digambarin sebagai young-billionaire, kurang perlente, kurang felt suffered. Karakternya jadi kurang kuat, kurang berwibawa, kurang show off bahwa-itu-dia-Harry-si-pewaris-tahta-Oscorp.

Nah yang paling ngena dan terngiang itu adalaaaahh... Untuk pertama kalinya pemeran utama wanita meninggal! Yes, adorable Emma Stone yang jadi Gwen Stacy berakhir perannya di sekuel ini. :'( Waktu adegan Gwen mau mati, itu adalah adegan yang sangat full effect dan dramatis. But still, kurang geregetan. Kurang bikin sedih mengharu biru.

Overall The Amazing Spiderman ini cukup menghibur, but still so far awaaaay kalo dibandingin sama sekuel Spiderman sebelumnya. Dari segi effect, latar, dan detail film memang lebih baik dibanding Spiderman dulu, tapi dari segi story line, masih banyak kurangnya. Kesannya cerita terlalu terburu-buru dan lompat sana sini..

Film 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa

Setelah dinanti-nanti akhirnya jadi juga nonton film 99 Cahaya di Langit Eropa, padahal sempet nggak jadi. Dan si partner (aku yakin dalem hati) nggak nyesel digusur nonton film ini. Well, ini pertama kalinya nonton film sebelum baca bukunya. Sedih banget deh. :(

Buku yang ditulis sama Mbak Hanum Rais sama suaminya ini bercerita tentang Islam di Eropa. Berbagai cerita yang didapet dari pengalaman tinggal di Eropa dan ketemu sama orang-orang yang hebat. Ditambah lagi pengalaman based on true story yang bisa dijadiin role model.

Semuanya berawal dari kisah Mbak Hanum yang tinggal di Wina untuk nemenin suaminya yang dapet beasiswa S3. Sulitnya hidup di negeri orang, belum lagi di negara dimana Islam yang jadi minoritas. Banyak yang jadi reminder untuk kita yang tinggal di Indonesia yang mayoritas muslim dengan berbagai kemudahan yang ada untuk beribadah, lantas kenapa masih suka ditinggalkan?

Mengisi hari-harinya di Wna, Hanum bertemu dengan seorang wanita muslim Turki bernama Fatma. Fatma mengajak Hanum berkeliling Wina dan banyak bercerita tentang Islam. Fatma memiliki seorang anak perempuan yang bernama Aysie. Ada yang nyelekit ketika Hanum pertama kali ketemu Aysie, "Tante Hanum muslim tapi kok nggak pake kerudung?". Yang lainnya lagi adalah ketika Hanum emosi mendengar dua lelaki yang mengejek Turki dan agama, Fatma malah membayarkan makanan kedua orang tersebut. Well, salah satu inti pesan yang disampaikan adalah bagaimana seharusnya kita menyingkapi orang yang bersikap buruk sama kita, balaslah dengan kebaikan sebanyak-banyaknya, seperti yang diajarkan dalam Islam dan yang dicontohkan oleh Rasulullah SAW.

Dari Fatma, Hanum dikenalkan kepada Marion, seorang sejarahwan Perancis. Hanum yang mendapat kesempatan pergi ke Perancis menemani Rangga yang ada tugas, mengisi waktunya selama di Perancis bersama Marion. Marion banyak bercerita tentang bagaimana Islam di Eropa. Dimulai dengan lukisan Bunda Maria di Musee de Louvre yang pada kerudungnya terdapat kaligrafi Laa Illa ha Ilallah. Kemudian kisah kalau Napoleon Bonaparte seorang mualaf, yang kemudian mendirikan Arc de Triomphe atau gerbang kemenangan. Beberapa situs bersejarah di Perancis dimulai dari Arch de Triomphe, Obelisk, dan lainnya berada pada satu jalan yang lurus. Apabila jalan yang lurus tersebut ditarik garis lurus terus ke Timur, maka menuju ke Baitullah. Subhanalloh. :') Memang banyak kenyataan yang bikin speechless dari film ini.

Film ini emang recommended untuk ditonton, selain cerita yang begitu mendalam, kita juga disuguhi sama pemandangan indah Eropa. Ceritanya sederhana, berbeda dari genre film Islam sebelum-sebelumnya yang terkesan dibuat-buat. Banyak pelajaran positif yang bisa diambil dari film ini. Termasuk bagaimana menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyan yang sering dilontarkan orang-orang non muslim mengenai ibadah yang kita lakukan.

Sepanjang nonton film ini, rasanya deg-degan, kagum dan terharu terhadap bukti-bukti nyata tentang Islam yang baru diketahui. Sepanjang film juga secara nggak sadar, banyak mengucap doa supaya someday bisa menginjakkan kaki di tempat-tempat tersebut, melihat secara langsung karunia Allah. Amin Insya Alah.

Filmnya sebetulnya dibagi dua karena panjang, tapi tenang aja pemotongan ceritanya bagus jadi nggak menimbulkan kesan gantung. Ini pertama kalinya nonton film sebelum baca bukunya. Sempet pengen beli bukunya tapi sayang keburu sold out dimana-mana pas filmnya mau tayang. Setelah nonton jadi makin penasaran sama bukunya. :')

I don't want to grow up, find me in Neverland..

Have you ever heard about Peter Pan? The boy who doesn't want to grow up and choose to live in Neverland. This fantasy story was made as novel and play by J. M. Barrie. But I fall in love really deep with the movie version that released on 2003, which was starring by Jeremy Sumpter as Peter and Rachel Hurd-Wood as Wendy. This is one of my favorite fantasy movie ever. Although its an old movie, but I never get bored to watch it again and all over again. :)

The story was began on Peter Pan who loves on all the story that Wendy always told every night to her brothers. Some fairytale that fascinated Peter to always come back and listened to Wendy's story. One day, Peter left his shadow at Wendy's house, so next day he come back to take it back. Unconsciously, he wake Wendy, then Wendy help him to get his shadow back. Peter then asked Wendy to come to Neverland, a place where he lives with many lost boys. Then, the adventure in Neverland begin. Peter should face his biggest enemy, Hook. And at last, Wendy choose to back in life and grow up, although its look scary to think. (click here for complete story about Peter Pan)

Well, I like how Jeremy Sumpter played as Peter, he's got that naughty smile and bright eyes, and perfectly fit to played playful slash smart slash brave Peter. Rachel Hurd-Wood got a perfectly kiss on her lips. Wendy is brave slash high curious slash high imagination slash adventurous girl.
Its cute when Wendy called thimble as kiss and a kiss as thimble to fool Hook. The adventure and the story, goes really perfect and took my heart deeply. How to be brave, how to be enthusiast with adventure will take you, how to be keep your childhood to built your future. 

So come with me where dreams are born and time is never planned. Just think on happy things, and your heart will fly on wings in never never land - Peter Pan

What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love

Well, this is another late post. And by the way since I spend time at home a lot, the positive is I could write more, I even could post more than one each day. Well, at least I have something to entertain myself. :)
Have you read the title of this post?
Its actually a title of a film, nice film and really meaningful. Its really a long title, even when I bought the ticket my Indonesian-slash-Sundanese tongue got split. :p
My first impression of the title this would be totally romance film. I was really hope to watch the film, the film was showed at Sundance Festival. Its kewl right? And its originally from Indonesia.

 

I really like the opening of the film, with song of 'Burung Camar' that sang by some blind student. The film were taken at a school for students with disabilities, especially visually-impairment. Whole of story it told about how this people with disabilities fall in love each other. Started with a hearing-impaired boy named Edo that fall in love with a visually-impaired girl named Fitri. Fitri like to tell all what she feel to an imaginary person called dr. ghost. Then Edo who had eye to Fitri pretend to be that dr. ghost. Many times they spent until Fitri noticed that dr. ghost is a real person named Edo that had hearing-impairment. Then there's Diana who had limited sight fall to Andhika, a boy with visually-impaired. Actually I was a bit confused with every scene. Because its look no completed or continue each other. But at the end, I concluded that its actually about a fall in love things, describe in other way. Like Edo that hearing-impairment that also can't talk and Fitri that visually-impairment. That man love what they see, but woman love what they hear. How Edo couldn't talk even hear, but can see and fall with what he saw. Then Fitri that couldn't see, but read Braille letters that Edo wrote, spent many times with Edo and she fell with. Well love is really complicated to be describe, but it always find its own way.. And happily ever after.. :)
